NVIDIA Sẽ Ngưng Hỗ Trợ Driver Cho Hệ Điều Hành 32-bit Từ Phiên Bản 390 Sắp Phát Hành
Kể từ phiên bản driver 390 thì Nvidia sẽ không còn hỗ trợ hệ điều hành 32-bit, cả Linux lẫn Windows. Như vậy người dùng buộc phải chuyển qua hệ điều hành 64-bit nếu không muốn driver trên máy không được cập nhật mới. Riêng Mac OS X từ phiên bản Lion 10.7 trở đi thì không bị ảnh hưởng bởi tất cả các phiên bản sau này đều 64-bit.
Những cải tiến về hiệu năng và tính năng sẽ không được tích hợp trong driver cũ. Nói đến đây thì chúng ta lại càng có lý do để chuyển sang 64-bit. Tuy nhiên, không phải chiếc máy tính nào cũng hỗ trợ hệ điều hành 64-bit, vì vậy Nvidia sẽ hỗ trợ cập nhật các bản vá bảo mật thêm 1 năm. Những lỗ hổng bảo mật nghiêm trọng sẽ được vá trên driver 32-bit và sẽ được phát hành hành đến hết tháng 1 năm 2019.
Nvidia sẽ phát hành phiên bản driver 390 trong tuần tới. Nếu anh em tò mò về tỉ lệ người dùng hệ điều hành 32-bit thì theo thống kê của Steam, chỉ có khoảng 1,98% người dùng còn gắn bó với phiên bản này. Anh em có còn dùng Windows 32-bit hay không?
